Privacy and data

How GANO stores and protects your data, in plain language. Confidentiality is built into the product, not bolted on.

Where your data is stored

Your workspace data, the plots, schemes, appraisals, projects and documents you create, is held in a managed PostgreSQL database provided by Supabase, running on Amazon Web Services. It is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Every workspace is isolated at the database level, not only in the interface. Access is enforced by Postgres row level security, so one firm's pipeline cannot be read by another, even in the event of a bug in the application.

If you require your data to be held in a specific jurisdiction, including within the UAE, we provide a dedicated in-region deployment for Enterprise customers on request.

How we use it

We use your data only to run your feasibility studies and to operate your workspace. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train any AI model.

AI reasoning

Every number in a GANO appraisal is computed by our deterministic engine, not by an AI model. AI is used for two narrow jobs: to turn a free text description into structured inputs, and to write the plain-language verdict from figures the engine has already computed. The document audit also reads the text of files you upload.

These steps are performed by Anthropic and OpenAI through their interfaces, whose processing may take place outside the UAE. Only the text and computed figures needed for the task are sent, and neither provider uses data sent through their interface to train its models.

Who processes data for us

We rely on a small set of established providers, each handling only what its function requires:

Supabase, on Amazon Web Services, for the database, sign-in and file storage. Vercel for application hosting. Anthropic and OpenAI for the reasoning and document-analysis features described above. Resend for transactional email such as sign-in links and workspace invitations.

Your control

You can export any appraisal at any time, and you can ask us to delete your workspace and everything in it. For a data processing agreement, or any question about how your data is handled, contact us at hello@ganosite.com.
